All about our Club:

The Chip Chuckers of Riverside, California, originated in 1998. When five guys decided it was time to start a woodcarving club. Within a year the club grew to 60 members. Through the years the membership numbers have fluctuated, and we presently have 24 active members. The Club is open to all levels of carvers, and there are many members willing to assist anyone interested in learning to carve.

Additionally:

We have some members that enjoy the art of wood burning. Pyrography, literally meaning “writing with fire” is the art of decorating wood, leather, or other materials with burn marks. The Artists achieve this by applying heated objects, typically specialized modern pens with interchangeable nibs, to scorch varying tones, textures, and lines into a canvas.

Meeting Site:

We meet at the Janet Goeske Center, 5257 Sierra Street, Riverside, Ca. 92504 weekly on Tuesday mornings at 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. There are no dues, but we ask for a donation of $2 dollars a week to cover the coffee and small snack.
